Nonprofit organizations CityCare and Remerge partnered to build 3-bedroom duplexes for single mothers with the help of a $1 million National Housing Trust Fund grant.

Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency has approximately $1,912,500 available for grants through the National Housing Trust Fund as part of the 2025 program year.

The National Housing Trust Fund Program for the State of Oklahoma is for rental projects only and can only serve households at 30% of Area Median Income or the Poverty Level, whichever is greater.

No applications were received for the current round of funding. OHFA will be proposing an amendment to the NHTF Application to be considered at the January 21, 2026 OHFA Board of Trustees meeting. This allows applicants to request the remaining funds in conjunction with 4% and 9% Affordable Housing Tax Credit applications submitted during the first 2026 funding period. The amendment establishes a proposed deadline of January 22, 2026, to mirror the Affordable Housing Tax Credit first funding period deadline.

In a preemptive measure, OHFA is currently accepting applications and will do so from all interest parties.

More information about the National Housing Trust Fund along with the application are available on the OHFA website.
