Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Data Notice

Pursuant to 74 O.S. § 3106.4, the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) gives notice of the following: OHFA collects personally identifiable data supplied by persons who apply for housing services, programs, and employment. "Personally-identifiable data” is defined at 74 O.S. § 3106.4 as information that can identify an individual including, but not limited to, name, birth date, place of birth, mother's maiden name, biometric records, Social Security number, official state- or government-issued driver license or identification number, alien registration number, government passport number, employer or taxpayer-identification number or any other information that is linked or linkable to an individual, such as medical, educational, financial or employment information.

Such personally identifiable data is stored electronically in a secure database, and physical records of such information are stored securely in compliance with the State’s Consolidated General Records Disposition Schedule.

HB 1876, effective May 3, 2021:

  • Amends 51 O.S. Section 24A.7 of the Oklahoma Open Records Act.
  • Exempts the following current and former public employee information from public inspection or disclosure of:
    • Home addresses.
    • Home telephone numbers.
    • Social Security numbers.
    • Private email addresses.
    • Private mobile phone numbers.
  • Does not exempt public records created using a private email address or private mobile phone.
Social Media Policy

Content and comments that include any of the following forms of information will not be allowed for posting on the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency’s (OHFA) social networking platforms:

  • Profane language or content
  • Harassing language or tone
  • Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation
  • Obscene sexual content or links to obscene sexual content
  • Solicitations of commerce
  • Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity
  • Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems
  • Content that violates the legal ownership interest of any other party
  • Promotion or opposition of any person campaigning for election to a political office or promoting or opposing any ballot proposition
  • Disclosure of information that OHFA and its employees must keep confidential by law or regulation. This includes the Personal Identifying Information (PII) of OHFA customers

Content or comments of this nature found on OHFA’s social media sites may be hidden or removed from the site. Only comments that follow this standard will be approved for posting by approved agency staff.

Messages and comments will typically be responded to during normal business hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Open Records Requests

Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) abides by the Open Records Act,  a series of laws designed to guarantee that the public has access to public records of governmental bodies in Oklahoma. OHFA believes in transparency and supports the public’s right to know.

To complete an Open Records Request, please review the Open Records Policy and Fee Structure. Open Records Requests may be made by completing the Open Records Request Form. Permission must be granted in writing prior to the release of information pertaining to individuals participating in OHFA's housing programs.
