NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST FUND

OVERVIEW

The National Housing Trust Fund supplements existing federal, state and local efforts that increase and preserve the supply of affordable housing. Individuals who are low and very low-income, including homeless families, benefit from NHTF developments.

Eligible partners include local governments, non-profits, for-profits, Public Housing Authorities, and tribal entities.

Application Materials & Program Resources

We are currently accepting NHTF applications for Program Year 2025. The deadline for submitting applications is June 26, 2025. Those Applications will be considered at the September 24, 2025 meeting of OHFA’s Board of Trustees.

National Housing Trust Fund-assisted units must have a minimum affordability period of 30 years.

Oklahoma must use at least 80% of each annual grant for rental housing; up to 10% for home ownership; and up to 10% for OHFA’s reasonable administrative and planning costs.
