OHFA offers two programs that make renting more affordable.
Participating households may live anywhere they choose. The property owner must agree to accept the voucher. The unit must pass a Housing Quality Standards inspection. Your rental assistance will stay with you even if you move to a different property.
Residents apply to live in these apartments by contacting the property management offices directly. Each property may have different selection criteria. If you choose to move from the property, you will need to apply for rental assistance elsewhere.
Check the status of your application through the AssistanceConnect portal. It allows you to check your status, update your information, and receive messages from OHFA.
