Due to current funding availability, the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) has temporarily paused acceptance of applications for the Urban Set-Aside under the Oklahoma Housing Stability Program (HSP).
Applications for the Rural Set-Aside continue to be accepted. The next deadline for applications is September 24 for consideration at the November 18 meeting of the OHFA Board of Trustees.
OHFA will resume accepting Urban Set-Aside applications once sufficient repayments have been received to replenish available funding. Applications will reopen when repayments reach the following levels:
- $5 million in the Homebuilder Program Urban Set-Aside
- $3 million in the Increased Housing Program Urban Set-Aside
The Housing Stability Program is designed as a revolving funding source. As homes are sold and rental developments transition to permanent financing, funds are repaid and become available for future projects. This allows the state to reinvest program dollars into additional housing developments, maximizing the long-term impact of the investment.
As required by HSP program rules, 75% of program funds must be directed to rural communities.
