OHFA First Offers Special Loan Rates for Public Servants

Seeing the impact teachers make on students in Oklahoma, OHFA implemented the OHFA 4 Teachers loan product. Now expanded in 2025 to include all school employees, the product is known as OHFA 4 Schools. Buyers of homes using this product receive a special interest, making homeownership more attainable for critically-needed educators and other school employees.

In 2005, the offering of special rates expanded to include law enforcement, firefighters, and EMTs through OHFA Shield.  State employees became eligible in 2020.
