HOME Program Comes to OHFA

The HOME Investment Partnerships Program became part of the OHFA portfolio of programs in 1998. HOME encourages developers, local governments, and nonprofit housing organizations called Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) to build and rehabilitate rental and for-sale homes for low-income families. HOME also offers grants for down payment assistance through the organizations receiving grants.

Since 1998, the HOME program has generated 6,590 for-sale and rental units and provided down payment assistance for 3,099 homeowners.
