Family Self-Sufficiency Provides Goal Setting

In 1992, OHFA began offering the Family Self-Sufficiency program to participants who receive rental assistance with Housing Choice Vouchers. Families enter into a five-year contract to establish financial freedom and work toward the achievement of goals. As their income increases, OHFA makes monthly deposits into an escrow account. When the contract ends, the family receives the full escrow amount.
