EMERGENCY
HOUSING VOUCHERS

Currently, applicant referrals are being added to the Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) waiting list. OHFA has a limited number of EHV vouchers and if any become available in the future, we will notify those persons placed on the EHV waiting list.

Emergency
Vouchers

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced OHFA's participation in the Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) program, available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

HUD offers Housing Choice Vouchers to assist individuals and families who are facing homelessness or fleeing domestic violence or sexual assault.

Information for Landlords

Property owners may qualify for up to a $350 incentive when leasing to an Emergency Housing Voucher participant. Due to the urgency of moving participants from at-risk situations, the Emergency Housing Voucher Program has a shorter processing time. Contact a participating entity in your area to make your rental units available.

Eligibility

Eligibility is determined by one of the listed participating agencies. OHFA does not accept applications from the general public.
