OKLAHOMA CITY—At its Jan. 21 meeting, the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency Board of Trustees approved awards for the HOME Investment Partnerships Program.
These grants will lead to an increase in available housing options in their respective communities. OHFA provides grants to non-profit organizations, Public Housing Authorities, Community Housing Development Organizations, local or tribal governments, and private developers to assist low-income households with housing needs.
The following organizations were awarded grants:
- Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City Housing, Inc. - new construction of four rental homes in Oklahoma County
- Deep Fork Community Action Foundation, Inc. - new construction of three rental homes in Okmulgee County and a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) operating grant
- Housing for Communities, Inc. - new construction of two homes for homebuyers in Canadian County
- The City of Midwest City - down payment assistance for 27 homebuyers
As part of the meeting, trustees also approved application materials for future financing. Applications will be accepted from April 2 to May 7.
