Tax Credit Program Offers Housing Options

OHFA's Affordable Housing Tax Credit program expands the supply of new affordable rental units and rehabilitates existing rental housing. OHFA offers both federal and state tax credits.

OKLAHOMA CITY—At its May 14 meeting, the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency Board of Trustees voted to award Affordable Housing Tax Credits as part of its first of two funding periods of 2025. OHFA's Affordable Housing Tax Credit program expands the supply of new affordable rental units and rehabilitates existing rental housing. OHFA offers both federal and state tax credits.

Approvals for 9% Tax Credits

  • The Landing at 36N, 3608 N. Quaker Ave., Tulsa - new construction of 55 units
  • Cottage Park Phase II, 1401 N. Stonecrop Dr., Midwest City - rehabilitation of 42 units for elderly residents
  • Stonebridge Pointe at Ponca City, 2100 block of N. 7th St., Ponca City - new construction of 47 units
  • Pioneer Housing, E. 8th St. and Parker Ave., Pawhuska - new construction of 46 units
  • Villas at Haystack Ridge, 405 Heather Dr., Inola - new construction of 16 units
  • Cimarron Tower, 214 E. Broadway, Cushing - acquisition and rehabilitation of 46 units for elderly residents
  • Enclave Estates at Chickasha Phase II, 2700 34th St., Chickasha - new construction of 30 units
  • The Dominion on Reno Ave - East, 13020 W. Reno Ave., Yukon - new construction of 57 units

Approvals for Multifamily Bonds Paired with 4% Tax Credits and State Tax Credits
OHFA’s Multifamily Bond and 4% Tax Credit program provides developers a unique financing tool to help build, rehabilitate and finance large-scale apartment communities and rental homes. Coupled with multifamily bonds, the tax credits provide both equity and low-interest debt financing.

Made possible through the Oklahoma Affordable Housing Act, state tax credits bolster the creation affordable housing developments.

  • The Villages at Rose Hill, 1433 E. College St., Broken Arrow - new construction of 180 units
  • The Hilltop, 266 E. Independence St., Tulsa - new construction of 107 units
  • Classen Heights, 1301 NE 30th St., Oklahoma City - new construction of 172 units
  • Shiloh, 6401 Shiloh Blvd., Oklahoma City - new construction of 132 units
