Make the Most of the Assistance Connect Portal

By OHFA Communications

If you are a new user, you should have received a letter with your Assistance Connect PIN and some instructions.  If you cannot locate your Assistance Connect PIN, please contact our office at 405-842-2471. This PIN must be used to set up an account.

Please sign up for Assistance Connect at www.assistancecheck.com.

The Assistance Connect online portal provides a way to communicate using most web-enabled devices.  We encourage everyone to use Assistance Connect.  Some of the functions include:

  • Applicants can check their waiting list status 24/7
  • Families can submit family member or income changes or update contact information.
  • You will receive certain information from OHFA about your file
  • Owners can view payments and review inspection information.

Once logged in, the Assistance Connect website includes instructional videos offering tips for using the portal.

Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency plans to automate more of its services in the coming months. Assistance Connect helps us serve our customers by providing 24/7 access to information.

As a reminder, if you have forgotten your Assistance Connect password, click the “Forgot Username or Password” option on the website.  If you registered with an email address, an email will be sent with instructions.  Add [email protected] to your safe senders list.

If you no longer have access to the email used to set up your account, select “My Email Address Could Be Incorrect” under Account Options to update your email.

If you registered with a mobile number, the software sends a text instead.

The Assistance Connect website offers a robust Frequently Asked Questions section designed to help users navigate the site.  OHFA frequently sends notifications through Assistance Connect.  Remember, to stay up to date, check your account on a regular basis.
