Trustees Approve HOME Awards

By OHFA Communications

Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency’s board of trustees approved five HOME Investment Partnerships Program grants at its January 25 meeting.

  • Big Five Community Services, Inc. received grants for the acquisition and rehabilitation of three houses for homebuyers in Durant and for Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) operating expenses.
  • Building New Foundations, Inc. received a grant for the acquisition and rehabilitation of one rental unit in Canadian County.

HOME encourages local governments and nonprofit housing organizations to build new homes, rehabilitate existing housing or make structural home repairs. HOME is designed to encourage partnerships to fund the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing for low-income families, particularly in rural Oklahoma.
