OHFA Opens Application Period for HOME Funding April 4, 2003 Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency has $12,796,000 available for funding through the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) as administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Project proposals must be designed to strengthen public private partnerships and expand the supply of affordable housing. Eligible applicants are local governments including cities, towns, counties, Indian tribes, public agencies, non-profit organizations, and community housing development organizations. Funding will not be available in the metropolitan participating jurisdictions of Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman and Lawton. These communities receive their own direct annual allocation of HOME funds from HUD. Applications will be selected for funding upon satisfaction of all key threshold criteria and receiving a minimum 80 percent on the evaluation criteria. Applications will compete in their set-aside project activities against other applications. Funding of applications will be based upon the best application submission in each project activity. Applications failing to meet threshold evaluation will be returned and will not be scored. The deficiencies will be communicated. Applicants who score less than 80 percent will also be notified of their score. Application guidelines, materials and training are now available. Applications for HOME project activities other than Homeowner Rehabilitation are accepted on an ongoing basis. The application deadline for Homeowner Rehabilitation project activities is May 19. To receive application guidelines and materials, call the Housing Development Team at (405) 419-8133 or toll-free (800) 256-1489 ext. 133.
