Rural Enterprises of
Oklahoma Recognized by Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency with Apex
Award
OKLAHOMA CITY –
Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma City received an Apex Award for
Innovative Affordable Housing Initiative from Oklahoma Housing
Finance Agency for contributions made in affordable housing from
January to December 2006. Presented July 19 at OHFA’s Board of
Trustees meeting in Oklahoma City, the annual Apex Awards recognize
people and organizations in Oklahoma committed to affordable
housing.
The Employer Assisted Housing Incentive program administered by
Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma enables Oklahoma employers to provide
their employees with a housing benefit. The program assists
employees with down payment and closing costs associated with the
purchase of a home. The organization matches an employer’s financial
contribution up to $2,500 per family or individual. The EAH
Incentive program has made it possible for 84 working families to
become homeowners.
