Aldridge Housing Associates Recognized by Oklahoma
Housing Finance Agency with Apex Award
OKLAHOMA CITY – Aldridge Housing Associates received an Apex Award
for Elderly Housing from Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency for
contributions made in affordable housing from January to December
2005.
Presented July 19 at the quarterly meeting of OHFA’s board of
trustees in Oklahoma City, the Apex Awards recognize people and
organizations in Oklahoma committed to affordable housing.
Aldridge Housing Associates transformed the Aldridge Hotel in
downtown Shawnee into affordable housing for senior citizens. The
Aldridge Apartments feature 61 one and two-bedroom apartments, each
with its own unique floor plan. During its renovation and
restoration, the historic integrity of the building was carefully
maintained while providing the modern conveniences expected in
today’s market. The carpet, lighting and paint throughout the
nine-story building reflect the styles of the period when the hotel
was built.
Other Apex Award recipients include: Aldridge Housing Associates,
Shawnee; Capitol View Neighborhood Association, Oklahoma City; and
Margaret Nofire of Paradigm Management Company, Tulsa.
