Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)

HOME MISSION
The mission of the HOME Program is to provide for the expansion of
rural housing development by increasing private sector participation and investment; targeting housing development in areas of recent economic expansion; establishing a statewide housing development strategy, and building local market housing development capabilities

HOME Expands Supply of Affordable Housing
HOME is designed to expand the supply of affordable housing, especially home ownership in rural areas and single family new construction. HOME creates partnerships with public, private and non-profit entities to meet Oklahoma’s affordable housing needs. These entities can be private community housing development organizations (CHDOs), sector developers, financial institutions or cities and towns.

Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance for Families
HOME funds are blended with OHFA Advantage to provide down payment and closing cost assistance to families wanting to purchase homes. This allows for lower interest rates for first time home buyers eligible for assistance under the HOME program.

HOME Team Ready to Serve
The HOME program provides technical assistance regarding local partnership development, debt capital market alternatives and locating of development opportunities and market demand. Cities and towns, non-profits and private developers can apply for HOME funds, using the
